Cake Tasting

A fabulous engaged couple came over to taste my cake. The bride's colors are red and champagne. I made a small sample cake to show them what I am capable of, and also some samples to taste. I created a design out of champagne-tinted frosting, and added the opened rose and ribbon. They liked it a lot and I get to do their wedding cake in August! I am so excited.

Sommers Wedding Cake

I had a blast making another wedding cake! Audrey picked gorgeous colors, with the deep yellow and bright baby blue. All three tiers are white cake with my cream cheese filling and fresh raspberries. The outside is obviously buttercream. The dimensions are 12", 10", and 6".

I am still learning every time I make cakes, and I am so grateful for the experience! I had a great time making the rose display on the top of the cake, and placing petals all over, per Audrey's request. It was a hit and I can't wait til I get to make another wedding cake!!

Graduation Cake

I made Blake's favorite cake, a white cake with a cream cheese and fresh raspberry filling, with buttercream frosting. I tried to make the top look like a Diploma, but it kinda sucks. My bad, I needed to practice, but I did it in a hurry because it was for a surprise party for Blake.

Book Cake

I made this a cake for my friend's baby shower to look like 4 little baby books stacked on each other. If I do this type of cake again, I will stack the books so that they are barely over the edge of each other. It made the cakes sag a little and looked not so much like stiff books. The cake was chocolate with buttercream icing.

My brother turned 21 this week and I got to make him a big chocolate cake for his birthday party! His favorite car is a Lancer Evo. So, I put a toy Lancer Evo on top! And he LOVES chocolate, so he got a rich chocolate cake!

Batman Cake!

I think one of my biggest cake fans is Chris, my best friend's husband. He asked me to make him a cake while I was in Utah for his brother-in-law's birthday. His brother-in-law LOVES Batman, so the theme of the cake was easy to pick! I did my favorite white cake with a cream cheese frosting filling. The icing is homemade buttercream and store-bought dark chocolate for the black. I had a blast making it, even without all my fancy tools!

My First Ice Cream Cake

I made an ice cream cake for Scarlet's birthday! It was so fun. I mixed vanilla ice cream with oreos and put it in the middle of two layers of chocolate cake. I covered it with a melty chocolate icing. It was yummy, but the cake wasn't as moist as usual because it was kind of frozen. I'd like to figure out how to fix that! But I had a good time with it!
