She Loves Her Road Bike!

This year I decided to make Niki a road biking cake. It was my special white cake with cream cheese frosting filling, and brightly colored buttercream!

Harry Potter Birthday Cake

Here we have a Harry Potter Quidditch match! Harry, Malfoy, and Hermione all flying around the outside of the Quidditch field, with the Golden Snitch flying high into the sky! I made this without any of my supplies while I was visiting family. A 4 layer white cake with delicious cream cheese filling. So many colors and so much fun!

Happy Birthday Danika!

I made this with no time and no supplies. Really happy with how it turned out! I was in Utah for my niece, Danika's birthday. She loved the monkey cake I made for Katie, and so I duplicated it, customizing it to Danika's color tastes, and she loved it! I love Danika!

Ariel's Face Cake

I love making Disney Princess face cakes. :) Ariel was for Olivia's 3rd Birthday Party. This face cake was a white cake with butter cream frosting. I love fondant-free cakes. They seem so purely dessert. Love it.

Ariel Doll Cake

It was so fun making this Princess Cake! The cake is a 4 layer, white cake with cream cheese frosting filling. Butter cream on the outside, with a pink fondant overlay. I made the crown out of gum paste and shimmer dust. So fun!

Ballerina Birthday

Evelyn had her 4th birthday party and I had the honor of making her cake! It's a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate icing and fondant. The girl is made entirely out of fondant and gumpaste. I had so much fun making her! The fondant covering I am still working on mastering. But I really learned a lot, and to see Evelyn's face light up when she saw this cake made me so happy!

Happy "Hi-5" Birthday for twins!

This was sure fun to do for little 5 year old girlies! Cut out number 5 cakes! The blue cake is white cake with fresh raspberries and cream cheese frosting filling. The purple cake is chocolate cake with a chocolate frosting filling. They are ENORMOUS! Both are a half sheet cake.

Red Velvet Birthday

So this 4-layer awesomeness is a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. I have never dyed cream cheese frosting and frosted the outside of a cake with it before, so this was fun! The roses, however, are buttercream frosting. This cake turned out delicious!

Little Lucy!

My cousin's baby, Lucy, just turned 1! Yay Lucy! She is such a spunky little babe who says lots of little words already! She also loves BABIES. So, I decided her big cake would have a big baby on it. Happy Birthday Lucy!

Grandpa's Golfing Cake

My Grandpa's birthday was this week. I asked him what his favorite kind of cake was and he said Lemon! So I made him a lemon SunDrop cake with lemon curd filling and a thickened glaze for the frosting. It turned out fantastic! My Grandpa is a fabulous golfer so he was excited to see his cake in golfball form. The grass was really fun to do, and I am so happy with how it turned out!

Castle Cake

Every princess needs a castle! I made this beauty out of a 10-inch square pan and 8-inch circle pans. It was my special white cake with cream cheese filling, and delicious buttercream frosting. I had so much fun and I acquired a few new clients, which is always fun!

Twin Princesses!

Our neighbors, who are little blonde twin girls, turned 3 this week! Brooklyn's favorite princess is Cinderella. And Lauren's favorite is Tiana. I am sorry but that is just hilarious. When she saw her cake, her mom asked, "Who is that?" And she replied, "Me!" So so cute. I made them a princess castle cake and then these small 5-inch round cakes.

Nath Taught Me Fondant!

My very first all-fondant cake ever! My second ever was for my hubby's birthday. I really like fondant! The clean up is much quicker than buttercream. But, they both have their own challenges! I hope to keep learning!!
