This baby blue cutie was by far the most challenging cake I've ever done. The issues were 1) It was a wedding cake, thus I require perfection. And 2) It was so extremely simple of a design that imperfections are extremely apparent. Had a few mishaps along the way, almost putting me in tears. But as you can see, the cake matched the wedding scheme and the couple was happy! The cake was my normal wedding cake - white cake with cream cheese filling and fresh raspberries. But, this time the frosting on the outside was vanilla bean. I recieved an enormous amount of compliments and also learned a lot!

This cake was massive, 12x18 inches! I did Carson's Transformers Cake last year and had a blast! This year, his Star Wars-Clone Wars cake was such a blast. I made a 3D "Captain Rex" with his helmet, gun, and all. The wording looks like the lettering of the title of the show. It was difficult to accomplish the task of molding his arm just right. It's supposed to be Rex's right shoulder then his arm is bent (where you can't see it) and it comes up on the other side of the cake with his gun pointing upward. It looked better on paper than on cake, so I learned a lot from this cake and I hope to do better next time I do a 3d cake like this. It is all white cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream icing!

I got to do two little 6 inch birthday cakes for twins, a boy and a girl. I had so much fun doing the Spiderman and Tinkerbell themes! The cakes are my white cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting. The filling on the Spiderman cake is blue, and the filling on the Tinkerbell cake is purple. The little Spiderman is made out of fondant and the wings on Tinkerbell's cake are made out of fondant and gumpaste. The Tinkerbell cake is shiny and so frilly, I love it! The Spiderman cake is tough, and looks like Spiderman sitting on top of a building. SO FUN!

Oh my gosh I had soooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOO much fun making this cake!!!!!!!!!! My dear friend Alexis asked me to do this cake and gave me an idea from the Martha Stewart website that she liked, called a "lollipop garden." Click here to see it, it's darling! She also gave me the invitation to her sister-in-law's shower, so I could go off the colors. It was too much fun making the gumpaste daisies and the white chocolate daisy lollipops! I also made a new cake recipe for this cake. It's a deliciously moist lemon cake with lemon curd filling and a glaze-tasting buttercream frosting. This cake is a 9" cake, and I placed it on a 12" circle with a 12" square cake box for travel. I learned so much making this cake and I am grateful for creative people like Alexis that I can grow from! I am so happy I got to make this cake!!

I had a good time doing my first square tiered cake! I am really a fan of ribbon on my cakes. It adds a nice touch, and these girls always have a great taste in color! And one of my favorite parts of this cake was writing the names of the bride and groom on the 2nd tier. Fun!

All buttercream icing, with a shimmery touch, the filling is 2 layers - my own homemade cream cheese frosting, and strawberry compote. I made the compote by cooking cut strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. It was a blast and a huge project for me and I LOVED it! Can I make your wedding cake? :)

I love this cake. I am making a wedding cake next week and I used this as my practice cake. The bride wants a strawberry filling, so I made a strawberry compote to fill the center of this cake, along with cream cheese frosting. So, for my music-industry-loving friend, I made a new cake recipe and a new frosting besides buttercream! I really hated the Wilton chocolate buttercream recipe, so I found this AWESOME marshmallow chocolate frosting. Oh man is it good. It tastes like a melted s'more without the graham crackers. DANG good. Both layers of this cake were also baked into a melted brown sugar bottom which made it very moist. The inside of the two layers is a sweetened cream. YUMMY! Happy Birthday, Erin!

I had a lot of fun/difficulty making this baby. First of all, I was silly and built it by myself, without a cake mold. I wont make that mistake twice! It fell apart and I had to rebuild it. It is four layers. It luckily turned out to be a football-looking cake that my one-and-a-half-year-old son looked at and said, "Ah-some!" (Awesome). I also had a few helpers this time.
